The experience while using the Sacrament is only a fraction of the work. Preparation before the experience and integration after the experience are key to safety and sincerity in your worship. See below for some ideas
As you Journey, take time to set your intention, or purpose, for taking the Sacrament. This can help define an area for your consciousness to explore
Set up a safe physical space for your journey, consider your comfort as well. It is a great idea to have a trusted guide or friend to support your journey.
The integration process is better supported when you write down your intentions for your Journey beforehand; as well as jot down thoughts, experiences, and realizations that arise during your Journey. Your journal will be a useful guide in integrating your experience afterward.
Music IS Medicine. I highly recommend you have some playlists to choose from during your Journey. This playlist is inspired by the Johns Hopkins research team: Psilocybin Playlist
Expanding your consciousness is a good bit of work! 🙂 Plan for some rest, reflection, and connection in the days that follow. Professional guidance is recommended to support your integration process.
Worship, done well, should lead to positive change. A great way to explore what you learn and see on your journey, and create change in your life, is to Integrate. MAPS has a great integration workbook, get it at the link to the right.
